Interesting how I've changed in four years. I also noted the "love and be loved" trait is scarily low on the list, and I realize that it is not due to me not loving others, but allowing others to love me back. It always seems I am contributing to the relationship more than the other party, which is dangerous and creates skewed relationships. These are never healthy in the long-term. (reminds me of the relationship of the boy and the giving tree, except in real life as revised here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/compost/wp/2013/02/28/the-giving-tree-revised/)

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. - Romans 5
